Voting is what makes a democracy work. But that doesn't mean it's easy. We know it can be confusing, so we're here to answer your questions. If you have questions about your eligibility, you have come to the right place.

  • I mailed in the paper I printed and signed, am I registered?

    You can check your voter registration status here: http://elections.utah.gov/Voterregistrationinformation.html.

    If you are still having problems or have questions, you should contact your local board of elections immediately so they can determine if you are on the rolls.

  • Am I eligible to vote?

    You may register to vote in Utah if you are:

    1) At least 18 years-old on or before the next election.
    2) A citizen of the United States.
    3) A resident of Utah for at least 30 days before the election. An applicant is considered a resident of Utah if he or she has his principal place of residence within Utah and intends to continue to reside within Utah indefinitely.
    4) Your voter registration form must be dropped off or postmarked by the deadline:

    GENERAL ELECTION 2010

    - Primary Voter Registration Deadline: May 24, 2010
    - General Election Voter Registration Deadline: October 4, 2010
